This Widget allows its user to keep tabs on any image URL put into it. It's ideal for looking at images updated dynamically, such as webcams or traffic cameras. You can check out the Eiffel Tower or Times Square up to the minute if you want!

Custom URLs are stored for later use and the Widget can spawn copies of itself with a single click, for added spying fun.

digijock: It's no better on a Macintosh. Animated gifs only play at their natural size. Here is the official confirmation: https://www2.konfabulator.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17899&hl=animated+gif . I don't normally set constraints, so that is why it worked for me when I tested your link. I probably had seen this comment some time ago, but had forgotten.

    https://www2.konfabulator.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24531&hl=animated+gif

I went into the prefs for the widget instance in question, and removed all of the constraints in the geometry1 tab. Now it works beautifully. I think I can live with the image being a little bigger than I want.

Thanks for checking it out. I haven't found any more clues. If I do find an answer I'll let you know. And thanks again for supporting your widget so well. I love it!

digijock: I've run the animated gif from your link (below) in WebImages and in Safari on a 2GHz Intel Core Duo iMac using Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard). In both cases I saw the same correct behaviour (6 frames shown in about 4 to 5 seconds) when the gif was first loaded (or reloaded) and displayed. In WebImages, the animation (sometimes) stops when the Widget receives other events, such as loosing or regaining focus.

That said, there are no controls provided by the Widget Engine to influen More
