Just in case the author still checks the threads, neat widget!

I took a look at the code to try and figure out the occasional random rune day issue (using today, tomorrow, and random), and found the following: on days where the daily rune is supposed to be Wyrd, and the "use Wyrd" option is turned off, the rune generated for the day is randomly rotated. If you turn "use Wyrd" on, the random shifting goes away. There is a certain logic to that, if you think about it. ;-)

Now that I've had it running awhile, I'm having a problem: when I come back to my desktop after doing the usual internet browsing, working in Excel, Outlook, or whatever, the widget is totally frozen. Just that one. Can't use it, open it, move it, close it, access it from the engine - nothing. The only way I get it going again is the go to the engine and add it as new again at which time it closes the former and opens a new one.

I really would like to keep this one - any ideas?

I just installed it, but having read some of the comments below, I thought I would check to see if it would give me the same rune on multiple clicks of "today" . So far I have not gotten the same one twice and have in fact gotten 6 different runes. (Interestingly, each one is strongly related in meaning to the previous, though).

Being new to runes, am I wrong in my assumption that each subsequent click of "today" on a given day should r…eturn the same rune? Are you supposed to get a set of runes for any given day? Is this a bug or have I done something incorrectly? More

Just to answer the questions people have had as to why Today's TOMORROW is not Tomorrow's TODAY:

The actions you do TODAY will effect the outcome of TOMORROW, therefore what you have done one day will effect the runic outcome. Think of life as a river and the runes are floating stepping stones....the one that will get you across one moment may not be there the next.

It makes perfect sense to me why it would change. So the question then becomes why have a TOMORROW rune? Because it gi…ves you the chance to change an unfavorable outcome and because it will also effect how your day will go TODAY. Its kind of a quantum thing. More

Have been working with Runes for nearly 30 yrs and like the multiple sources used for the explainations of the rune meanings-even if I don't agree with all of them (runes are subjective, like tarot cards).

BUGS:
After using the program for sometime now I find that sometimes the program with give me two TODAY runes w/in a 24 hr. day (like its on a 12 hr day or something; also the TODAY rune choice acts more like the RANDOM rune choice, it has happened once with the TOMORROW rune choice....s…o I'm rating it a 3 out of 4 for the "bug". I'm waiting for the time I turn on my computer and find that all the choices are Random.

Otherwise I really like it and its always on my Desktop. More
