I just finished building my own Digital Photo Frame from my old PIII laptop. Added the touch screen and WiFi enabled. Have been using the Picasa 3 and working well. However, I'd like to be able to show the local weather forecast, clock, and other funs tasks for visitor and my kids to play like puzzle and soduko. But Picasa Slideshow does not work with Yahoo's Widgets. I love the Yahoo's Widget because of the graphic and UI of the MAC. Sorry to have to say this, IMO - but is "…;Picture Frame" application Yahoo's Widget team can come up with the photo slideshow? It is not capable of displaying pictures the way any other slideshow applications do. Even Microsoft basic Photo Viewer slideshow have a better presentation. Other 3rd party widget photo slide shows require upload to its site, yet it is not even work well. I have over 1000 photos. Over the net for 1000 photos and publishing my personal photo on the net are not really in my interest at this point. More

This is so cool I love looking at all my pictures if you havent got this get it right now

The only problem is it use to stay where you put it on the screen. You don't have that option no more why? When you choose closest corner the picture gets cut off because the image changes. Please correct the software to allow it to stay in a fixed position.

I have been useing Widgets For a year and a half now, This has been a great widget! i can just sit and watch em :)

Firstly, i really like this. Simple and functional. Some suggestions for future versions:
1. When setting the corner to resize images from, make the slideshow arrows show up in that same corner. That way the widget can be placed anywhere on the desktop and browsed through without having to move the mouse to the arrows each time.
2. Have an option to set a maximum image size that the widget will try and load. That will stop the widget from slowing to a crawl while trying to rescale any huge image…s you may have on your pc.
3. Have a field to set how quickly to change images.
4. Optional transitions between images.

Good little widget though :) More
