To reduce the waste of CPU power you can:
[in "Design" tab of preferences]
- uncheck "Wings illumination";
- set "Drop Shadow" to None;
- set "Size" to Small;
- uncheck "Poof!" (if you use Random "Butterfly Model");
[in "Behavior" tab of preferences]
- set "Frame Rate" to 8.
I'll try to optimize the use of CPU in the next version. I already have one or two ideas, but I have to test them. Thank you for your feedback.

Sorry to hear that too. Need a little feedback so I can try to help you: After you use the orange "Get Widget" button, does any error message pop out? Did you try using the small "Get it here" link under the orange button (that will not automatically run the widget, you have to manually start it)? Does its icon appear in Widgets Dock (you should see an orange with black butterfly)? Are you using a Mac or a PC?... Please provide some more feedback so I may understand w… More
