WidgetWorldHi Megan, I used NewsStand every day and for the most part, there are no problems. Once in a great while, one of the feeds has a bad character in it and it crashes. When it crashes, it is absolutely, 100% a widget engine problem and not related to NewsStand. We've done a lot of tests on this. My suggestion to you would be to start completely fresh. megankanneThis widget is beautiful and I would love to use it but have never been able to get it to work. Same as diego, it starts, tells me it wants to start in safe mode, I click yes and for each and every feed it says "error: could not load feed information". It doesn't matter what feed I add or remove, each gives me an error. I believe the problem to be with the widget because other rss readers I tried with yahoo widgets have all worked perfectly - they were just ugly. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Diego - That's an engine bug
WidgetWorldGotta love the engine bugs that cause widget crashes with no warnings. Certain items in RSS feeds cause the Yahoo Widget Engine to crash immediately with no warning whatsoever and provide no way for the widget to handle it. So, we have tried to come up with a solution that puts NewsStand into "safe mode" where we manually do a lot of checks to fix the problem but, well, it doesn't always work.

diego diazI have been using this widgets for a couple of years and since this morning I'm getting this error message also commented by other people: NewsStand will start, but then it says that a feed will not load and then I am asked if I want to load Widget in safe mode. I click yes, but nothing happens.
I did uninstall and re-install everything but the error won't disappear.... Can't use it anymore and would really appreciate any help :)
