Actually, I've looked at other ebay watchers and this is the best one. It's a shame that it has stopped working. I guess ebay didn't like it because it was so good. It was well designed (still not sure about the jsp files) but I hope the author continues to explore ways round that. I need a watcher that doesn't need you to give your id and password. It was great while it lasted, but I'm watching this space for new developments.

You are having the same problem I had, so it appears eBay made some kind of change. I just deleted it after trying to get it to function. I use Firefox so I used an attachment they have to monitor eBay.

I just used this for the first time last week and it worked great. I could keep up with the items on ebay and the voice worked okay. Now it doesn't work at all. Don't know why. I tried re-installing it but it's still the same. Is this version 2.0? If so, then it needs some work. It is such a great idea. I don't understand about jsp files. Is it possible that they are being used to spy on our ebay usage? I ain't got nothing to hide but I wouldn't want someone eyeballing my… sales or purchases and using it to spam me. Actually I used it also for ebay purchases as well. Same thing. More

Worked great until today. It now says unable to load URL

I'm the author of the widget. The calls to .jsp files are only to retrieve information from eBay. The widget does not make direct calls to eBay. Calling the jsp files improves the performance of the widget as well as simplifies the programming of the widget.
