I am using this widget just for checking emails. It is great that you can see new emails, sender and subject so i see also if it is spam. It is really great but i can't run it now. Before i had Net framework 2 and microsoft stuff around it and it was working but two or three times a day it crashed during day i just ran it again. I was not big problem. But now i needed to install net framework 3.5 and other microsoft stuff because of the other programs that needed latest Net. And now immediat…ely when informer starts checking emails i get error window - Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library, runtime error and it terminates informer. I would like applied author to fix this bug because it is great widget and i could not find any other replacement with such a good functionality. I found some old solution of this problem but it is not working. If anybody knows solution to fix this problem please let me know.

I like this tool but my bar tends to be fairly empty because I don't use half of what it offers. Can you pretty please make a stand-alone Gmail checker that allows multiple accounts, automatically logs-in and doesn't take up a whole bar across the bottom of my screen?

finally i found problem only occur in google reader 's atom feed.

this widget is very useful, but have some problem..

RSS reader cannot show hint correct in some language...(chinese)
but gmail checker can.

i've read your code, i think the problem is URL object
maybe you can try another way to get data like gmail checker.
