OK, the out of memory error (and widget not working issue) seems to happen if the song has no artwork. When I did it on a song that did have artwork, it worked fine. Not even the song title change happens if the song has no artwork.

I tried that, Jordan...when I click "run" in the Applescript, I get the message: "AppleScript Error - iTunes got an error: Out of memory"

FYI, I am also running Konfabulator 1.7, but I don't think that matters with this script error.

I'm sorry, you guys (for the people fro whom it doesn't work), if you look at the version it is still in beta testing (version-0.9).
For the people that can't close it, it works for me, umm..... do you have konfabulator 1.7?

For the people that it doesn't work at all, try control+clicking on the widget-------click "show package contents"------open Contents----open "thingy.applescript"-----iTunes and iChat will then open automatically----play a song in iT…unes------click "run" on the applescript
Result: The status and the icon should change (Note: if the song u play has no album artwork then the icon won't change) iif this result is true then there is something wrong with the code, if it is false there is something wrong with the applescript. Please tell me your result. Thxs, sry :( More

I also couldn't get widget to work with iChatAV 2.1 and iTunes 4.6. Plus, I couldn't get it to quit using Control + Click. fortunately, K.Control Widget was able to close it.

This widget is a nice idea... I'll refrain from rating until I can get it to work.

This widget doesn't seem to do anything for me. Using iTunes 4.6 and iChat AV 2.1. The widget is running in my Konfabulator, but nothing happens in iChat.
