I enjoy watching my proceser preform while doing a task. The Pentium D is a true multi core processer actually the first. I was amused when I installed it for the first time to acually be able to see the processers both working at once to get information processed. A truly easy to see gadget that I like the best of all my widgets.

I have posted this many times. Please read the comments before posting problems. The widget shows the number of processors the system sees. It does not differentiate between real and virtual processors, because the operating system uses virtual processors the same way it does regular processors.

Also, please note that this widget is no longer supported. There is a new multiprocessor monitor that includes graphing, please try that.

I recently built up a older SuperMicro P4DP6 with two 2.8GHz Xeon (BX80532KC2800DU) CPU's handling my first two memory slots of 2GBit memories (X2) for a total of 4G bits with visions of ultimately going to 16G bits. On first running this program "Dual Processor Monitor" it reported I had 4 processors then shut down when really while in HT I had really two physical and two logical processors caused by HT active. Another Widget confirm this for me elsewhere... Turning "off&qu…ot; HT Hyper Drive in my motherboard BIOS caused my "DPM" version 1.0 to work all the way, and show immediately two processors once the phantom logical processors were illiminated by that BIOS switch. So I like to see this new version someday... The SuperMicro manual says doing this will cause the HT performance to eaten away at against CPU higher end perfomance. A test was needed! I measure my machine's performance via another software before and after with reading of 327 with More

Just curious, of the people for whom the widget doesn't work, are you using 32 bit Windows XP or 64 bit Windows XP?

How come this doesn't work with AMD 64 X2 4200 dual core processors? Only one core is displayed.
