    Drop Action problems on XP2

I can associate an Office app using DropMover. For example, I can shift-click, and assign "Word" or Excel" exe files. Double-clicking the resultant DropMover button opens the relevant app. BUT, whenever I try to "allow drop action" (ADA), then I get an error stating that "The destination was not an application and has been ignored". Try to associate a button with the Word and Notepad applications directly, not with the Windows shortcut. That should work for Word. Maybe not for Notepad.

Yahoo! Widgets 4.5.1 does not allow any access to files in the C:\WINDOWS directory. It should really just prevent write access. I am told that Notepad.exe is normally located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\notepad.exe and that Microsoft Word is normally located in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.EXE. If that is true for your system, you should be able to associate a button with Word, but not with Notepad. Perhaps you could make a copy of Notepad in your Program Files folder.

On Windows, the Widget should accept .exe and .widget files as applications. Have you been able to associate a key with any .exe or .widget file?
