Wow this widget wouldn't even work once. It was just frozen and I could hardly even turn it off. I don't recommend downloading this!

This is probably my favorite widget although I NEVER read comics. Why would I love this then? Well, I use it to display my local weather forecasts from the three major channels. I don't have to watch the news. Just go to their respective webpages and then their weather section. Type in the URL, then right click on the picture of the forecast and select 'properties' from the window that opens up. Take note of THAT url (for the picture, not the webpage itself). The ending of the… url might change from day-to-day (it might display the date for the photo, for example) so just enter most or the url (the part that will remain constant yet will also distinguish it from other pictures on the page). Yes it seems frozen often, but just click where you need to and give it a wait. Usually it's trying to capture the comic image, that's why it seems frozen.

For comics.com you need to put this as the address of the image for ANY comic, once you have the proper homepage url:

http://assets.comics.com/dyn/str_strip/

Why? Because it's basically a picture viewer so it needs to show the right picture.

Its freezing because you put in the wrong info for the comics. So I would say error handling could be better but, really, one could just read the directions (press the ?) and put in the right info.

For comics.com I was able to but the /dyn/str_strip in the image string field (with the reset) and it worked as well.

I've got 1 wish and that is the ability to "roll" the widget up. For example an option to double click the title bar which makes the comic disappear (leaving only the t…itle bar) and another double click to show the comics again, would keep this gadget always on my desktop. Its not the monitor space, which I have plenty of and you addressed with the great size buttons, but people constantly peering over my shoulder.

Of course, would love to have more comics than 3 :).

It might be a great widget, but without instructions it's useless. How do I set it up? Is there a place to find the links for comics... If it came preloaded with a list of common comics life would be much easier. Instead, I'm deleting this one and using the one I found on http://comics.com/widgets/
