Chinese New Year Countdown

A countdown clock to the next Chinese New Year, which follows the lunar calendar. There are 12 animal years in the Chinese Zodiac, It is currently Year of the Dog. 2007 is Year of the Pig. Too bad it is not an election year, however, 2008 is the Year of the Rat.

    We really did not think this widget would cause so much controversy, and are almost sorry for creating it. It was never an intention to insult or annoy anyone, or get tempers going. Actually, the widget is based on our computer desktop design series, which is really famous and has spread into a popular product line.     You are right, niteangel! As I said, SRFred obviously doesn't know too much about Chinese.
    In both traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, "zhu1" exists and means "pig".
    In both traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, "tun2" (the big red character) exists but doesn't mean "pig".
