2008 OlympiClock

The design of this Widget is a replica of the giant countdown clock on display in Tiananmen Square, at the very heart of the Chinese capital in Beijing. The clock displays the time left until the opening ceremony of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, on 2008 August 8.

Does this clock count down to 8:08 PM Beijing time or 8:08 PM local time (based off of the computer clock?

Yay! Chinese pride! I just have one suggestion-- could you please revise it so the size can be adjusted? I support your widget all the way, but it is kinda taking up a lot of space on my desktop...Thank you!

Absolutely... If it was YOUR Olympics, you'd be counting it down too... Much better to be counting down to something as great as the Olympics Games than most of the other things we count down to...

Hey, I am a current olympic hopeful and think that this is the coolest widget yet, I think it is not too early, and challenge someone to create a countdown for the 2012 olympics In London, and the 2010 winter olympics in Vancouver
